Variants of Stainless Steel Flat Rolled Products
Austenitic: This type of stainless steel contains 300 Series type Chromium and Nickel. They also contain 200 Series type Chromium, Nickel and Manganese. Majority of such grade of stainless steel has the ability to get hard through cold-working and are not compatible of heat treatment. Such type of stainless steel is also nonmagnetic in nature in the annealed condition and possesses exceptional corrosion resistance qualities. The standard of such type of stainless steel grade comprise of chemical composition with 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel. Type 304 grade of stainless steel normally forms the core of this type of this metal group and is the most widely used alloy.
Ferritic: This type of stainless steels comprise of upfront 400 Series type Chromium,
making it difficult to harden. However such type of raw material is magnetic in nature and has superior ductility qualities. This grade of raw material is also corrosion and oxidation resistant. Type 430 grade forms the general-purpose stainless steel of this fraternity of metal group.
Martensitic: This type of stainless steels comprise of straight 400 Series type Chromium. It can be hardened by heat treatment and possesses magnetic, mild environment, and corrosion resistant persona. Type 410 grade forms the general-purpose stainless steel of this fraternity of metal group. And this type of raw material has comparatively good ductility.

NO. 2E Finish
Hot rolled black coils are cold rolled, annealed, scale broken, shot blasted and pickled. Primarily used in manufacturing Tanks, Vessels, Industrial Structural Parts, Structural Parts for Vehicles and Ships, Conveyor Belts, etc.
NO. 2D Finish
Commonly used in industries like Automotive Components, Deep Drawing Parts, Building Components, Pipes and Tube making, etc. The prime characteristic of this raw material is that it is a cold rolled, annealed, pickled and dull finish product.
NO. 2B Finish
This type of stainless steel is cold rolled, annealed, pickled, and skin-passed so that it can have the required luster. The glossiness and flatness of this grade of stainless steel is superior then No.2D grade of products. This grade is widely used in Kitchen and Bathroom Accessories Industry, Surface Polishing, Furniture Industry, etc.
NO. 3 Finish
This grade of stainless steel raw material is produced by grinding No. 2D with the help of No. 100 – 120 grinding belt. Such type of stainless steel possess better glossiness and blinking coarse grain and is primarily used Exterior and Interior Decoration of Buildings, Electrical Appliances, and Kitchen Installations, etc.
NO. 4 Finish
This grade of stainless steel raw material is produced by grinding No. 2D with the help of No. 150 – 320 grinding belt. Such type of stainless steel possesses better glossiness and blinking coarse grain, however its grains are better than grade No. 3 products. Such type of stainless steel is also widely used in Elevator Decoration, Exterior and Interior Decoration of Buildings, Electrical Appliances, Kitchen Installations, Front Panels of Electrical Appliance front panel, etc.
This product type is made by grinding of No. 2D surface continuously with the help of polishing abrasive belt. Such raw material is usually used in Building Decoration, Elevator Decoration, etc.
This product type is cold-rolled, bright annealed, and skin passed. It has extremely high-quality surface glossiness and is widely used in Building Decoration, Making Home Appliance Products, and Kitchen Installation, etc.
Dull finish in stainless steel is achieved by proper rolling of No. 2D or No. 2B surface using dull roll. When complete it gives the Matt finish look. It is prominently used in Building Decoration, Elevator Decoration, etc.
NO. 1 Finish
This type of steel is hot rolled, annealed, and pickled. It is mostly used as cold rolled material and is used in making Industrial Tanks and Devices in Chemical Industry.
